TransJakarta is a bus rapid transit system in Jakarta, Indonesia. TransJakarta started on January 15, 2004 and currently has ten corridors (or lines) in operation. Another five corridors are currently being planned. TransJakarta was designed to provide the citizens of Jakarta a fast and cheap public transportation system to help reduce rush hour traffic.
Corridor 5 of the TransJakarta busway system runs from Ancol at the northern shore of Jakarta to Kampung Melayu bus terminal in the eastern part of the city. The line has just a few points of transfer.
You can transfer to corridor 2 at Senen Sentral, to corridor 4 at Matraman via a pedestrian bridge and to corridor 7 at Kampung Melayu. You can also take the train at Senen Sentral.
