TransJakarta is a bus rapid transit system in Jakarta, Indonesia. TransJakarta started on January 15, 2004 and currently has ten corridors (or lines) in operation. Another five corridors are currently being planned. TransJakarta was designed to provide the citizens of Jakarta a fast and cheap public transportation system to help reduce rush hour traffic.
Corridor 4, between Pulo Gadung bus terminal and Dukuh Atas in downtown Jakarta started operation on January 27, 2007. However also a corridor from east to west and originating at the same bus terminal, it serves a large area not covered by any other TransJakarta busway corridors.

At Dukuh Atas you can transit to corridor 1 via a pedestrian bridge. At Matraman you can transit to corridor 5 via a pedestrian bridge as well and finally in Halimun you can transit to corridor 6.
