1 June 2006: Earthquake damage at the Prambanan temple complex (east of Yogyakarta) after a devastating earthquake ripped through central Java on Saturday 27 May 2006. Just before dawn, an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale killed thousands and flattened entire villages. (Read more)
