November 7, 2010 - The main road between Yogyakarta and Muntilan has changed from a four-lane main road into a dusty ash-covered path. Heavy ash rains have hit the Central Java town of Muntilan hard. Two days ago, several centimeters of ash from the Mount Merapi volcano came down in a large area, causing power outages, breaking trees and grinding life to a complete halt in the area.
