November 7, 2010 - Closing in on the town of Muntilan, the amount of volcanic ash is rapidly increasing. Heavy ash rains have hit the Central Java town of Muntilan hard. Two days ago, several centimeters of ash from the Mount Merapi volcano came down in a large area, causing power outages, breaking trees and grinding life to a complete halt in the area.
