July 2008 - A strange rock formation stretching into the sea is nothing more than hundreds of years of erosion from the sea and weather. Several years ago a piece of rock broke of, which is a sign that it's better not to climb on it, but just to enjoy this marvel of nature from a distance. The quiet to deserted white beaches in the southeastern corner of Yogyakarta province, in central Java, are a perfect place to enjoy tranquility. From Yogyakarta it is not more than a day trip, while the town of Pacitan is nearby as well.
