A small part of the buildings is still in reasonable condition, but doesn't seem to be maintained anymore. That doesn't mean that the buildings are vacant however. Fort Willem II is located about one kilometer outside the current village of Ambarawa at a short distance off the main road Semarang - Yogyakarta in Central Java.
