About this picture
One of the walls inside the current prison and military complex shows a typical building style that it used in many old Dutch fortresses throughout Indonesia. The wall you see here is an outer wall of the prison complex that is currently housing inside the former fortress. Fort Willem II is located about one kilometer outside the current village of Ambarawa at a short distance off the main road Semarang - Yogyakarta in Central Java.
