25 December 2006The gathered crowd of workers works hard to mine sand and stones from Kali Bebeng river near the village of Kepuharjo in the district Cangkringan. Hundreds of workers load dozens of trucks with sand daily to make some extra money. The biggest part of the trees that supplied some shadow here in the river valley are washed away by earlier floods, so working under the direct hot sun is no exception.
