25 December 2006With the latest heavy monsoon rains, a fresh load of volcanic sand is washed down from the slopes of the Gunung Merapi volcano here in Kepuharjo, Cangkringan district in Yogyakarta province. The road was cleared the following morning, but any new rain will probably cause it to be blocked once again by a new load of sand.
