1 May 2006 - The tourist locations around Kaliurang - about 25 km north of Yogyakarta - is open for tourists. Spots like Kaliadem, Kalikuning and Kinahrejo are welcoming tourists as usual. Tourist numbers have dropped dramatically since Gunung Merapi was put on an active status by scientists.
