One of the volcanic active spots in the area exhausts a plume of fumes into the sky. From a distance it certainly looks nice, but if you are close, it can be much more dangerous than you initially expect. When there is heightened volcanic activity, areas will be closed down by regional or local government, declaring it a danger zone.
