5 April 2004Voters in Indonesia's remote Baliem valley of Papuan province cast their ballots at an open air voting station. Due to strong winds, election officials had to remove the alumunium-made voting booths in the area. Indonesians began voting in parliamentary elections on Monday in a congested contest expected to see the former political party of ousted strongman Suharto win the most votes, but not a majority.
