November 22, 2010 - The big clean-up can start after a series of eruptions of the Mount Merapi volcano in Central Java. One of the most important historical structures in the region, the Borobudur, is covered in a layer of ash several centimeters thick. This has to be removed by hand for the biggest part. Several days ago the clean-up efforts started, it is estimated that it will take several weeks to finish the entire process.
