August 2008 - Rays of sun pierce through light cloud cover at the beach of Ampenan in western Lombok. At the location where only a few poles are left, there used to be a small harbor in the Dutch colonial time. It was mainly used for fishing boats of the villagers of Ampenan. Nowadays a part of the population still fishes in nearby waters. The harbor they use however is a new one located nearby.
