About this picture
26 October 2007 - About one and a half year after the mud volano in the town of Porong, south of Sidoarjo in eastern Java, came to live, it still exhausts some 150.00 cubic meters of hot mud over the surrounding area. Construction companies stilll try to arrange the flow of mud in the direction of the Brantas river by the construction of dams. Not always with success; regularly a new piece of land is flooded by the bad smelling mud because a dam gave way.
