Rembang is one of regencies in Jawa Tengah. The Rembang Regency occupies an area of about 1,014.02 square kilometers and divided into fourteen sub districts and 294 villages. It is located eighteen kilometers from Juwono. Popular holiday spots are Kartini Park, and the beach of Jangkar Dompo Awang.
The people here hold the Kupatan Ceremony one in a year, throughout the week, at the end of the month Ramadhan (Idul Fitri). The Old Temple of Ciu Kwi Kiang Temple, reminds of the early period of Islam in Rembang. In this town lies the Kartini's Grave, the Indonesian pioneer of the women's emancipation movement.
