Geographically, the location is between 105o 15' and 106° eastern longitude and 6° 21' centigrade southern latitude. Rainfall is an annual 3,814 millimeters. The weather is influenced by the west monsoon and east monsoon. An influence of the sea climate is also very much felt.
The area of this residency is the forest, which are tropical and typical for this region. Concerning fauna, at Ujung Kulon there are one horned Rhinoceros, Buffaloes, Deer, Apes, Wild dogs, Crocodiles, Iguanas, Boars, Herons, Peacocks, Tando, various kinds of Turtles, Tortoises, Rangkong birds, snake-eating birds, Swallows, Kangkareng birds, honeys-sucking birds, and others. The area has a network of 489 kilometers of roads.
