Pemuteran was more or less the same as Lovina. But the advantage to hotels in Pemuteran compared to those in Lovina is that Pemuteran is a perfect base for exploring the Bali Barat National Park, which famous with it's endemic white starling birds or "Jalak Bali" ('Bali Starling'). Nowadays both Lovina and Pemuteran are developed and have various hotels, from very simple hotels, medium hotels up to deluxe hotels.
Some medium-sized and deluxe hotels in Pemuteran hotels are on-line, while small Pemuteran hotels or simple Pemuteran hotels and Lovina hotels can only be booked at the scene or by a travel agent that knows the area. Hotels of the lower class should best be checked first, since condition of the hotel might be different than expected.
Important note is that both Lovina and Pemuteran have higher temperatures and higher moisture levels than other parts of Bali. The Pemuteran area also has more luxurious hotels than Lovina. But in Pemuteran there is no shop or restaurant nearby the hotels unlike along the area of Lovina where shops, restaurants and some night life are available just meters from the hotels.
